About The Flower Garden Cakery

The Flower Garden Cakery was created from merging the love of flowers and cake.  Sarah, the cake artisan behind the Cakery, has enjoyed years of growing organic edible flowers in her kitchen garden, for use as ingredients and to decorate cakes.  The inspiration for the Flower Garden Cakery, came from combining these two things, to create a unique place to enjoy the beauty of nature and some delicious treats.

Sarah the owner of The Flower Garden Cakery, has run a custom cake business from her home in Bedfordale for the past 8 years, previously known as Cakes by Sarah.  After dreaming about expanding the business to a brick and mortar café for years, she decided to take a risk and turn this dream into a reality.  After approaching the owners of a local orchard in Bedfordale, an agreement was reached to make the orchard, Willow Springs the new home for The Flower Garden Cakery.

While planning is underway for the permanent Cakery a temporary version has been created.  In mid-March 2024, The Flower Garden Cakery caravan café, will open serving locally roasted coffee, locally blended teas, milkshakes and a variety of cakes and desserts.  The café will be open on Thursday to Sunday and Sarah will continue making custom cakes and desserts to order, for events.

Eventually, pending approval, the permanent Cakery and garden will be developed on the orchard. In the meantime, Sarah’s home-made and mouthwatering treats will be served at The Flower Garden Cakery caravan café in the beautiful Willow Springs Orchard, Bedfordale.

I have been dying to make one of these vintage iced cakes for ages so thought I would just make one for myself.
I think I’m going to call this the ‘Marie Antoinette’ cake. So fancy ✨
